THE PIG-at Combe

Totally secluded

THE PIG-at Combe, hidden within 3,500 acres of lush Devonshire greenery, is our mellow honey-coloured Elizabethan bolthole, bursting with character and quintessential countryside charm.

Although totally secluded, THE PIG-at Combe is in easy reach of many of Devonshire’s hot spots! The hotel is situated just 8 miles from the East Devon coastline, meaning there’s a heap of things to get up to, both on land or out at sea.

So much to see and do

THE PIG-at Combe is hidden away in the Devon countryside, but perfectly placed for exploring. Just outside are patchwork fields, cider orchards and farm shops, while the Jurassic Coast is only a short drive away for beach walks, fossil hunting and sea air.

Nearby market towns like Honiton and Ottery St Mary add antique shops, cafés and a dose of local life, making the area around Combe as rich to explore as the house itself.

Discover the Jurassic Coast

The Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a short drive from THE PIG-at Combe. Stretching for 95 miles, it’s a coastline of dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and sweeping beaches, famous for its fossils and striking geology.

Whether it’s a bracing walk along the clifftops, a paddle on the sand or a day spent fossil hunting, the Jurassic Coast is one of Devon’s greatest adventures.

Cheer on the home teams

Devon has a proud sporting spirit, and THE PIG-at Combe sits within easy reach of it all. From Premiership rugby at Exeter Chiefs to county cricket at Somerset and local football clubs, there’s no shortage of teams to cheer on.

Whether you fancy the buzz of a big match or the charm of village cricket on the green, sport is woven into the local way of life.
