THE PIG-at Combe, hidden within 3,500 acres of lush Devonshire greenery, is our mellow honey-coloured Elizabethan bolthole, bursting with character and quintessential countryside charm.
Although totally secluded, THE PIG-at Combe is in easy reach of many of Devonshire’s hot spots! The hotel is situated just 8 miles from the East Devon coastline, meaning there’s a heap of things to get up to, both on land or out at sea.
So much to see and do
THE PIG-at Combe is hidden away in the Devon countryside, but perfectly placed for exploring. Just outside are patchwork fields, cider orchards and farm shops, while the Jurassic Coast is only a short drive away for beach walks, fossil hunting and sea air.
Nearby market towns like Honiton and Ottery St Mary add antique shops, cafés and a dose of local life, making the area around Combe as rich to explore as the house itself.

The availability shown online for THE PIG-at Combe is live and always up-to-date. If you can’t find the date you’re after, please email reservations@thepighotel.com so we can add you to our waiting list.
However, it’s worth checking out our other properties as we may have rooms or tables available elsewhere.
THE PIG welcomes well-behaved dogs to stay in a small number of rooms across most of our hotels, excluding THE PIG-in the wall and THE PIG-on the beach*. We kindly ask owners to help us respect the sensitivities of all our guests and staff by asking you to follow our Dog House Rules to avoid ending up in the doghouse! To book a dog friendly room please email us at reservations@thepighotel.com or give us a call 0345 225 9494.
We do not permit dogs inside the restaurants or our covered terrace, although they are welcome to join you on a stroll around the grounds or for outdoor dining in The Folly and the outside terrace when open. Please note at THE PIG-in the wall we only permit guide dogs into the property.
Children are more than welcome at THE PIG-at Combe, both in the restaurant and to stay. At THE PIG-at Combe, some of our rooms are suitable for an extra bed or cot, just ask us when booking and we can arrange this for you upon your arrival.
We’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurant at THE PIG-at Combe is informal and relaxed, so come in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
Breakfast: 7:30am-10am Monday-Friday and 7:30am-10:30am on Saturday and Sunday.
Lunch: 12pm-3pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm-4pm on Sunday.
Dinner: 6pm-9:45pm Monday to Sunday.
The Folly: Monday - Sunday 12pm - 5pm (last orders 4:30pm)
Lunch bookings at THE PIG-at Combe are advised, however, dinner bookings are essential!

THE PIG-at Combe, set in the lush Devonshire countryside, is the perfect spot for get-togethers! We have a mix of rooms to choose from depending on who it is you're getting together.
The original kitchen of the house, The Georgian Kitchen, is the ultimate kitchen table supper setting. We have also semi-restored The Folly, a unique private and rustic hideaway in the gardens. Breakfast at THE PIG-at Combe is available to everyone! Head to the restaurant where you can choose to dig into our PIG breakfast grazing table or pick something hot from our breakfast menu.
Unless we are running a special deal, our bedroom rates do not include breakfast (so you always have the choice to come down and enjoy it, or sleep in and skip it!)
If you're not staying with us the night before, please make sure you book your table in advance. We can't wait to welcome you round to ours in the morning!
You can check in from 3pm at THE PIG-at Combe, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens.
Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.

All rates shown on our website, quoted over the phone, or provided through other means are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse any booking for valid reasons. Our hotels offer various room types, with rates based on the number of occupants per room. Prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling, and all online payments will be processed in Pounds Sterling.
During peak seasons, bank holidays, and special events, certain rates may not be available, and some dates may require a minimum length of stay. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Some rate plans require full prepayment and are non-cancellable, non-refundable, non-changeable, and non-transferable. These conditions will be clearly stated in the rate description. We currently have one Tesla 400V 32A and one Universal 400V 32A electrical charging points for vehicles at THE PIG-at Combe if you require charging during your visit. These are free of charge to use for PIG guests. Your car will be fully charged within 3-4 hours when using the Tesla or Universal charger, and 3-4 hours when using the Universal charger. The Universal charger is fully compatible with all electric cars. Please note we have a charging lead you may use if you require, and once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.

If you wish to have the option to cancel your room free of charge (up to 72 hours before arrival), we recommend booking one of our "Free Range" rates. Please email reservations@thepighotel.com if you need to amend your stay.
A late cancellation (within 72 hours of arrival or outside the defined cancellation policy of the rate booked) or a no-show (failing to arrive on the scheduled date) will result in a charge of one night's accommodation at the first night's rate of your booking. This charge will be applied to the credit or debit card provided during booking.
