Relaxed eating in the heart of the house...
Cornwall’s wild, rugged coastline, rolling moors, and lush river valleys create a treasure trove of flavours for THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay. From day boats landing the freshest fish at Padstow, to small-scale Cornish farms rearing rare-breed meats, award-winning cheesemakers tucked away in sheltered valleys, and brilliant brewers and winemakers capturing the spirit of the sea breeze - we’re spoilt for choice.
Our Kitchen Garden was lovingly restored by our team when we opened the house in 2020, reusing its original features to do justice to the garden’s predecessors. Three of the gardens original slate walls have protected this garden from Atlantic winds since 1831 - the fourth wall is even older and holds a well in its centre. It’s now brimming with life - with growing also supported (particularly in those cold Cornish winter months) by our Alitex green house and polytunnels.
Together, our homegrown harvest and Cornish supplier friends shape the simple, honest plates we serve on our 25 mile menu - where the kitchen is the heartbeat of the house, and nothing feels too formal, just as it should be.
Opening Hours
Sunday: 12pm - 9pm

Breakfast
Kickstart your day, THE PIG way, with a hearty hot breakfast or a help-yourself grazing table packed with homegrown treats. The best part? You don’t have to be staying with us to dig in.
Whether it’s a big breakfast to fuel you up for a long coastal stomp, a weekend catch-up, or a quiet coffee on the coast, we’ll be dishing up from 7.30am - the coffee is brewing, the eggs are fresh from our hens, and the best seat in the house is waiting for you.

Lunching
Our restaurant is open for lunch every Sunday – weekend lunching at its best!
Lunch for the rest of the week at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay is a lighter affair - served in our bar and lounges rather than the restaurant. Fireside grazing plates and seriously tasty snacky bits that are spot on after a ramble along the headland, a beach walk or if you just don’t fancy cooking.

Dinner
The restaurant opens up each day for dinner, and our suppers start early, so you can slip in before sunset or make a whole night of it. Cosy up for a dinner à deux or go for a big table for a rollicking, laughter-loud feast of sharing plates. Either way, the night is young and the wine’s already breathing.

Drinks & Nibbles
Not ready for a full feast? Our bar is always open for a glass of something homegrown, local, or just plain delicious. Pair it with a few Piggy Bits to share and settle into a cosy corner or a sun-soaked seat outside.

What to expect
British Kitchen Garden food, true to the micro seasons and with a real focus on simple and fresh flavours.

Our local heroes
Behind every plate at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay is a cast of brilliant fishermen, farmers, growers, cheesemakers, bakers and butchers - the lifeblood of our 25 mile menus. These are the people who bring us ‘caught that day’ fish straight up from the boats in Padstow, delicious Cornish cheese, just-picked berries and the best cuts of meat, all with care, skill and stories to tell. We visit them, talk to them, trust them - and couldn’t do what we do without them.
