The Cellar & Sommelier's Table

Cracking open a special bottle of wine, feasting with great food and good friends is what life’s all about. So make a night of it for you and yours in the heart of our Cellar at the Sommelier’s Table – a private dining evening for up to 6 people, designed for wine lovers of all levels.

The Cellar is nestled in the original wine vaults of our 16th century house, built at the same time as the Georgian Kitchen and the restaurant. Previously used for storage during WW1 and WW2, the Cellar has since been carefully restored to create the perfect underground candlelit dining space, in the company of our special bottles of wine.

This unique and characterful vault, steeped in history and stories, is intimate, private and romantic, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. It’s the perfect hideaway to gather around the table with a generously poured glass and make memories with your favourite people. 

You’ll hunker down and enjoy a five-course hearty and seasonal menu, perfectly paired with generous amounts of wine, hand-picked and poured by our Sommeliers.
