Food & Foraging

food experiences served garden-fresh

This one’s for the food lovers. If you choose where to stay based on what’s on the menu, you’ll feel right at home here. We’re restaurants with rooms, rooted in our Kitchen Gardens and the landscapes around us.

At heart, we are restaurants with rooms

We grow what we can, source what we can’t from trusted local suppliers from within a 25 mile radius, and cook with the seasons. Each plate tells a story of the landscape around it, from garden herbs and orchard fruit to line-caught fish and slow-reared meat. It’s simple, honest food served with warmth. A celebration of British produce, grown and gathered with care.

It always starts in the garden

Our gardeners set the rhythm for the menu. A wander through the garden shows you what’s in season - and often what’s about to appear on your plate.

Dig a little deeper with our gardeners and chefs on our daily Kitchen Garden Tours - from soil to supper, you’ll see exactly how we grow and cook with the seasons.

Meet our makers

PIG people are bursting with know-how - whether it’s fermenting, foraging, or food and wine pairing. Throughout the year, we host events and workshops where our chefs, sommeliers, gardeners, and friends of THE PIG share their secrets. Think wine tastings, pickling workshops, wild food walks, and more.

See What’s On

Deliciously local

We’ve built lasting friendships with local farmers, fishermen, growers, cheesemakers, brewers and winemakers - the real food heroes of our patch. The 25 mile menu is at the core of every PIG – keeping things fresh, sustainable and seriously local. Expect daily-changing dishes, wood-fired cooking and plates designed for sharing. And why not pay them a visit whilst you are here – many of them would love to invite you in to share their stories and try a taste or two!
