THE PIG-in the Cotswolds

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds

Close to Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water and just a short drive from Cirencester, THE PIG-in the Cotswolds is a picturesque retreat with plenty to do, see and explore. Here are a few of our favourite ways to while away a perfect afternoon.

So much to see and do

THE PIG-in the Cotswolds is surrounded by honey-stone villages, rolling hills and winding lanes that make this part of England so loved. Local markets, antique shops that spill onto the streets, and cosy pubs are tucked around every corner.

From long rambles across the fields to lazy afternoons exploring towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford, the area is made for unhurried days and plenty of pit stops along the way.

A day at Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace, just a short drive from THE PIG-in the Cotswolds, is one of England’s grandest country estates. It’s famous as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and for its sweeping baroque architecture, vast parkland and formal gardens.

Whether you’re exploring the palace rooms, walking the grounds or catching one of the many events held throughout the year, Blenheim makes an unforgettable day out.

A bit of retail therapy

Bicester Village, around half an hour from THE PIG-in the Cotswolds, is a go-to spot for a little retail therapy. Packed with designer outlets and luxury brands, it’s the place for finding everything from fashion to homeware at outlet prices.

Stroll the open-air lanes, pick up a few treats, then head back to the countryside to try it all on!
