Our vineyard hotel in the hamlet of Madehurst, high up on the chalky ridges of West Sussex
Where walled gardens and flint-and-timber charm meets our very own vineyard! Our plot-to-plate hideaway at THE PIG-in the South Downs is the home of Kitchen Garden feasts and local English wine, with some serious winemaking rockstars right on our doorstep. Inside, there’s plenty of countryside calm to drink in, characterful rooms, cosy wagons and views of rolling West Sussex hills from our Georgian house, just four miles from Arundel.
The restaurant
With pretty stonking views out across our very own vineyard you can tuck into our daily-changing 25 mile menu, using the freshest produce from our walled Kitchen Garden and the best of what’s in season from our Sussex based supplier friends.
The bar
Settle back in our oval panelled bar to sip on Kitchen Garden tipples, classic cocktails, local beers and ciders, and our homegrown English wines from our vineyard beyond the restaurant.
Potting Shed treatments
At THE PIG-in the South Downs, the Potting Sheds are tucked into the landscape of hills and vines, with the kitchen garden just steps away. Treatments use natural products and a light, restorative touch, leaving you feeling grounded in the countryside around you. Our therapists tailor each session to you, and the Potting Sheds are open to both residents and non-residents.
