Explore THE PIG-in the wall
The building that is home to THE PIG-in the wall has been connected to Southampton’s lengthy maritime and British history for centuries. Built in around 1820 as a private residence for author and playwright, Countess Elizabeth Craven, the wall in which it’s nestled started life directly on the waterfront, with ships anchored right outside the front door.
