venture deep into the Dorset coast

THE PIG-on the beach

Take in the view

Located in Studland Bay, you couldn’t be better placed to enjoy the spoils of Dorset’s World Heritage Coast. Staying at THE PIG-on the beach puts you in close proximity to beautiful natural attractions, allowing you to maximise the gorgeous beaches, stunning views and abundance of wildlife.

While you're here, explore the four miles of unspoilt beaches, complete with beach huts and sand dunes. They are perfect for relaxing and taking in the view of the breathtaking chalk headland, Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight.

Dorset days

THE PIG-on the beach looks straight out over Studland Bay, with sandy shores, dunes and sea air right on the doorstep. Beyond the garden are cliff walks, nature reserves and hidden coves, with Old Harry Rocks just a short stroll away.

The Isle of Purbeck is full of charm too, from Corfe Castle’s ruins to steam trains, country pubs and rolling countryside. It’s Dorset at its most easy-going.

Step back in time

Just a few minutes from THE PIG-on the beach, Corfe Castle rises above its village on a dramatic hilltop. Built by William the Conqueror and shaped by centuries of history, its ruins tell tales of battles, royalty and rebellion.

Wander the walls, explore the cobbled streets below, then pause for a pint in one of the village pubs with the castle as your backdrop.

All aboard!

The heritage steam railway runs through the heart of Purbeck, linking Corfe Castle with the seaside town of Swanage.

Ride in restored carriages, puff through rolling countryside, and hop off at Swanage for a wander along the pier or fish and chips by the beach. It’s a nostalgic Dorset journey that’s as much about the ride as the destination.
